Aretha Franklin Lecture with Harry Getzov

Singer, pianist, songwriter, and civil rights leader, this woman embarked   on her musical adventure while still a child – singing gospel at her church  in Detroit, Michigan. Fame certainly did not come quickly for her, but,   as she developed, and struck gold securing hit after hit, she eventually  found her footing with her celebrated style. As her career blossomed, this  woman emerged as one of the most cherished performers of her time.
